Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies

The Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies is an institution for the advanced study of Islam and the Muslim world, incorporated under Royal Charter. It was established in 1985 to encourage the scholarly study of Islam and the Islamic world. It is governed by a Board of Trustees consisting of scholars and statesmen from different parts of the world, alongside representatives of the University of Oxford. The Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies has done so much to promote and improve our understanding of the Islamic world. That mission has great importance in our increasingly interdependent world.
