Pacific Polytech

The Pacific Polytech was established between February and March 2021 by former staff of Technical Colleges of Fiji, supported by the Fiji Institute of Applied Studies and the Global Girmit Institute. The decision to establish the Polytech was taken by about 40 technical trainers and experts who met at the GGI headquarters in Saweni on 15 February 2001. Following the unanimous resolution to establish a Polytech, a Steering Committee was appointed to give form to the decision. Over the next 8 weeks, major preparatory work was done, commencing with the registration of the Polytech under the laws of Fiji on 3 March 2021. Agreements for facilities commenced with a number of facility owners, including on-site-training facilities. The Polytech now has campuses at Tavua, Lautoka, and Nausori, and an on-site training facility in Nadi. Wo0rk to establish campuses at Nadi, Nadroga and Vanua Levu are ongoing.
