Pads of Elgin Inc

Public Action to Deliver Shelter (PADS) of Elgin, Inc. provides safe shelter, support services and advocacy to homeless individuals in Dundee, Elgin and Hanover Townships. We provide a safe overnight emergency shelter 365 days that opens nightly at 7:00 p.m. and closes each morning at 7:00 a.m. for 45 to 60 men, women and children each night. Both individuals and families are welcome at the shelter. Each night we provide a filling evening meal, breakfast, laundry/shower facilities as well as connections with support services, including mental health, housing, healthcare, recovery and education. The shelter is staffed with trained site coordinators, case managers and volunteers. Mental health professionals and volunteer advocates are available to assist guests with basic needs and to connect them with additional services.
