Palestinian Banking Institute

PBI is a non-profit organization which was encouraged to be established by the Palestinian Monetary Authority with the cooperation of the banking sector in Palestine. The institute was founded in 1999, and its headquarters is in the city of Ramallah. It consists of 19 members presenting the Palestinian Monetary Authority and the banks in Palestine. Its board of directors consists of 9 members which are headed by Dr. Jihad Al Wazeer, the Governor of the Palestinian Monetary Authority. The institutes objective is to promote the financial and banking culture, and to train, build, and develop the skills of the financial and banking staff in Palestine. Since its commence, the institute was able to train 12632 employees of the financial and banking staff through presenting 812 training courses.
