PYU is an Independent Palestinian NGO, established in 1992, and registered officially under the Palestinian charitable organizations law in 2002. PYU was established as a response of the challenges that will face the Palestinian youth after the establishment of the Palestinian Authority in 1993. The main reason for the PYU establishment was to organize the Palestinian youth efforts toward active participation in building the civil, democratic and advanced Palestinian society, and to contribute effectively in the Palestinian state building process.
