Panetolikos Football Club, or with its full name Panetolikos Gymnastikos Filekpedeftikos Sillogos, is a Greek professional football club based in Agrinio, Greece. Panetolikos was founded in 1926 and is considered one of the historical clubs in Greece, currently participating in the Greek First Division.Panetolikos was founded on March 9, 1926 by people of sports, culture and education, who realized that there was a need to create an organization that would operate in Agrinio and more generally in Western Greece, in the respective fields. Since its starting point, the team has managed to gather the local community and has developed an intense action and willing to become a very popular and beloved Association. The numerous successes , the organized events and the produced work in general, increased its popularity in the society.
