Our Trust provides food, clothing, shelter, and medical facilities to the destitute elderly women, mainly widows, in and around Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh. Isolation and invisibility are what have come to define elderly women in India. With a population of 53 million and rising, the majority of these women reside in rural areas in dismal conditions. They are abused and abandoned due to lack of income or assets, physical dependency, migration, and socio-cultural norms following their husbands death.
