Parker Ranch is the second largest private landowner in Hawaii, founded in 1847. The company has three main operating divisions: Land, Livestock, and Forestry/Hardwoods. The Land Division is responsible for two main business functions, (1) land strategy and planning and (2) real estate development and marketing. The Livestock Division is responsible for managing the 5th largest ranching operation in the United States. The Forestry/Hardwoods Division is responsible for long-term forestry management and wood processing and marketing. The mission of Parker Ranch is to support the needs of the four beneficiaries of the Parker Ranch Foundation Trust by cultivating value from the land bequeathed to the trust by the last Parker family member to own and control the ranch - Richard Smart.
