The Pear Education Foundation, part of the Pear Systems Development Company, is an educational organization dedicated to the support of Science and Technology capacity development in Africa in accordance with the United Nations millennium development goals. It is our dream that in the very near future, institutions of higher learning all over Africa will offer their students far more than basic education, but will give them the necessary tools for research and development, especially in the area of ICT, that will enable them become not just users but innovators, initiators and inventors of new modes, methods and machines that are well adapted to, and most suitable for local conditions and processes in Africa.
