ABOUT US Petrojam Limited is a limited liability company, owned by the Government of Jamaica. The company operates a refinery, which was built by ESSO in 1964 and acquired by the Government of Jamaica in 1982. In 2006, 49% of its shares were sold to PDV Caribe S.A of Venezuela. Full ownership of the company reverted to the Government in February of Jamaica in 2019. Petrojams core business is to supply petroleum products to the local market through a mix of refining and importation. Located on the shoreline of the Kingston Harbour at 96 Marcus Garvey Drive, Petrojam operates a hydro-skimming Plant with a refining capacity of 36,000 barrels per day and throughput capacity of 28,000 to 30,000 barrels per day.
