Pharmacy school, Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences

History of School of pharmacy: School of pharmacy in Ahvaz, in addition to relying on historical backing, is among the countrys oldest pharmacy schools, which was founded in the 1975 first in a department for education of students with a Bachelor of Pharmacy. After changing educational program to the doctoral degree in 1982 and separation of Medical Sciences Universities from the Ministry of Science in 1986 and amid the sacred defense, Ahvaz Pharmacy School was independently responsible for training pharmacists in the South West region of the country. Now the school has more than 35 faculty members with different specialties, more than 460 students majoring in education and research for a program of Doctorate of Pharmacy, pharmacology PhD, toxicology, pharmaceutics and traditional pharmaceutical as well as for program of the master of science degree of medicinal chemistry, toxicology, drug control and food and drug and the marine medicinal compounds.
