Philippine Mining Service Corporation (PMSC) was established on June 16, 1980 as a subsidiary of JFE Mineral Company, Ltd. formerly Kawatetsu Mining Co. Ltd. and JFE Steel Corporation, both of Tokyo, Japan, to fulfill the vision of developing the huge Dolomite deposit located at the municipalities of Alcoy and Dalaguete, province of Cebu, Philippines. The company operates by virtue of a service contract between the mining lease contract holder - Dolomite Mining Corporation (DMC). PMSC pioneered in the production of quality Dolomite in the entire Philippines and became the major supplier of raw Dolomite to leading steel and glass companies in Japan as well as to the largest sintering plant in Southeast Asia (Philippine Sinter Corporation).
