Phytoderm Skin Care Inc. was founded in 1976. The company was distributing skin care products to professionals in Canada. In 1980, Phytoderm Skin Care Inc. started to import and distribute Yonka products from Laboratoires Multaler, an European company. The company has maintained its relationship with Laboratoires Multaler for over 35 years and is the second-biggest distributor of Yonka products in the world. In 1990, Laboratoires Dermo-Cosmetik Inc. was created and acquired the G.M. Collin brand for exclusive use in the North American market. From now on, it would develop and manufacture the G.M. Collin products. The products have been adapted to enhance their dermo-corrective capacity to suit the North American climate and way of life.
