Plast Ukrainian Scouting Organization - USA

A principal obligation of a Plast Scout is to help others. Plast, similarly to Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, includes this into its principal obligations. The call to help others pertains to the Scouts relationship with their community. It also signifies the duties of Scouts to be useful members of the society in which they live and to which they are connected. Plast Ukrainian Scouting Organization was founded in 1911 in Ukraine and now has a worldwide membership on six continents, including 10,000 members in Ukraine and 2,600 members in the United States. Plast, Ukrainian Scouting Organization USA commonly referred to as Plast USA, is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization. It is a non-political and an interdenominational organization. In the US, Plast holds weekly scouting meetings conducted in Ukrainian throughout the school year and runs camps in the summer.
