Plumpton Park Zoo has over 200 exotic animals in a natural and relaxed environment. The Zoo was founded in 1986 and has grown ever since. In 2010, the reopened after a brief closure under new management. Many facilities have been upgraded and renovations are ongoing. Since reopening the zoo has also emphasized education and educational partnerships. A very successful internship program was started.
