The first plant for production of chlorine and polyvinyl chloride was commissioned in 1962 in the valley of Chemistry Devnya, Bulgaria, marking the beginning of Polimeri. Its production facilities produced liquid chlorine, caustic soda (sodium hydroxide), hydrochloric acid, chlorine lime, carbide, vinyl chloride, and emulsion polyvinyl chloride. PRODUCTS: Liquid Chlorine (CL2) Used in the synthesis of chlorine - containing organic compounds, for bleaching, desinfection and other applications. Purified Caustic Soda (NaOH) Applied in the chemical, paper, textile industries, in the production of soaps etc. Diaphragm Caustic Soda - Technical Grade (NaOH) Ethylene Bichloride (CL-2-2-CL) Used as a feedstock for VCM production as well as for the production of pharmaceutical products.
