Poriborton Chai

Poriborton Chai, a youth platform for environmental activism that started its journey on 21st February 2014, is registered as a Trust in Bangladesh. It has teams of volunteers in almost every district of Bangladesh and has been carrying out various nationwide and regional campaigns in districts and many sub-districts of the country since its inception. Over the period of last few years, Poriborton Chai, which means We want change in Bangla, has undertaken campaigns of its own while at the same time it has worked in partnership with UNDP, Actionaid and Water Aid on some more campaigns. Poriborton Chai volunteers at the National Martyrs Memorial at Savar, Dhaka after participating in the Lets Cleanup the Country Day 2019. Abbreviated as DPK Day from Deshtake Porikar Kori (DPK) in Bangla, the Day has been celebrated across the country each year since 2014 drawing tens of thousands of volunteers who want to see a cleaner greener Bangladesh
