Powder Metallurgy Company was founded by Larry Bobo in Carrollton, Texas in 1973. The firm originally shared quarters with a heat-treating firm in a drafty tin building. It was a great arrangement in the winter, but during the Texas summers there were ample excuses for sales calls on customers with air-conditioned facilities! By 1980, Powder Metallurgy Company had outgrown its space. The firm was re-located to its current location northeast of Dallas (Lewisville), increasing the floor space by 400%.
