Prairie Mud & Chemical Services Ltd. was incorporated in 1976 by Ray Frehlick in Estevan, Saskatchewan. Ray Frehlick had been previously involved in Saskatchewan and the northern United States as a Fluids Engineer and Operations Manager for 23 years. He felt the area could support a full service mud company. In 2002, Prairie Mud Service Partnership was formed and expanded into Manitoba, North Dakota, Montana, and Alberta. Offices are located in Williston, Swift Current, Estevan, Lacombe and Calgary, with warehousing in Kindersley, Lloydminster, and various locations throughout Alberta.
