Premier Scales & Systems began in 1969 when Wayne S. Hargett, Sr. began servicing scales from his home in Evansville, Indiana. Soon after, scale sales were added to complement his growing service business. By 1971 the business was incorporated as Southern Indiana Scale Company, Inc. Growth did not stop there, in 1987 the company expanded into Louisville, KY. The addition location more than doubled the companys geographic sales and service area, further strengthening the companys quickly growing market share.
