The Private Healthcare Information Network (PHIN) is the Competition and Market Authoritys (CMA) appointed independent Information Organisation (IO). This appointment follows the CMAs investigation into Private Healthcare (further details found on the CMAs website). We have a legal mandate to gather and publish performance information regarding all hospitals and consultants providing private treatment. We act as an online source of independent and trustworthy information, ensuring patients using private healthcare can compare and choose between both hospitals and consultants. Since April 2013, we have published information on our website covering approximately 200 hospitals and over 1 million patient admissions each year....
