Production and Industrial Engineering Society

The Department of Production & Industrial Engineering ( formerly Production Engineering ), first of its kind in Asia, was started in the year 1955 to offer a multidisciplinary academic program for the four years B. Tech. program in Production Engineering. In its journey, the department has established links with the industries, R&D organizations, consultancy organizations and academic institutes in the region in furtherance of the cause of manufacturing engineering. The faculty members are also actively engaged in research and development. The curriculum of Production & Industrial Engineering ( formerly Production Engineering ) provides a perfect blend of manufacturing technology and industrial management.
