Project Surya

Project Surya is an internationally recognized non-profit, youth-led initiative started by 15-year-old Future Leader and Diana Awardee, Divaa Uthkarsha, a high school UNSDG3 advocate. We aim to help underprivileged type one diabetic children living in India lead a better quality of life with respect to their diabetes. We work under the 3rd United Nations Sustainable Developmental Goal, Good Health and Well-Being. We want to see a world where juvenile diabetics are free of suffering and accessing insulin is easy and we envision a world where there are fewer deaths due to this chronic condition. Making the treatment affordable, accessible and sustainable. We have a three-pronged action plan consisting of awareness, advocacy and funding.
