PT Akasha Wira International Tbk (the Company) was established under the name of PT Alfindo Putrasetia in 1985. The Companys name has been changed several times, with the most recent one in 2010, when its name was changed to PT Akasha Wira International Tbk. In 2004 Water Partners Bottling S.A. (WPB), a joint-venture company between Nestle S.A. and Refreshment Product Services (a wholly owned subsidiary of The Coca-Cola Company), acquired a majority stake in the Company and the name of the Company was changed to PT. AdeS Waters Indonesia, Tbk accordingly. During this Nestle S.A and Refreshment Product Services ownership period, the Company launched bottle water AdeS product with new packaging and new bottle product Nestle Pure Life. The Company started the production of hair care cosmetics under the Makarizo brand in 2010 by purchasing production machines and equipment owned by PT Damai Sejahtera Mulia.
