PT North Sumatera Hydro Energy (NSHE) is an IPP (Independent Power Producer) Company that developed the Batangtoru Hydroelectric Power Plant (PLTA Batangtoru) with 510 MW capacity, which is located in Batangtoru River, South Tapanuli, North Sumatera Province, Indonesia. With the greatest effort, the Batangtoru HEPP is scheduled to be completed on December 31, 2025, and reach COD in 2026. It will be the largest hydropower plant in Sumatera, supporting Indonesias 15% peak load system and utilizing the watersheds potential to produce environmentally friendly and dependable electricity.
