Public Policy and Opinion Cell, IIT Kanpur

Public Policy and Opinion Cell is a non-political cell based in IIT Kanpur that brings global events into a valuable perspective. We explore current stories in international news, economics, finance and geopolitics by examining the facts and providing historical context. We cover a range of political, philosophical, economic and historical topics. 1) The public policy and opinion cell is the schools first student-run public policy think tank. This has been established with the aim of engaging students with the challenges of policy-making in contemporary society by fostering, creating and scrutinising potential policy solutions to a diverse range of important societal issues. The society will do this by inviting our members to join our selection of different Policy Committees where students will focus on particular issues. Our committees are formed based on the interests of our members, who in each committee will work together to create policy recommendations for their chosen issue....
