Qualified Aerospace Instructors Course

The Qualified Aerospace Instructors Course (QAIC) is the Air Cadet Organisations (ACO) premier aerospace-based course. The course aims to take senior cadets in the ACO and, via academic and synthetic training, generate a cadre of high calibre Qualified Aerospace Instructors (QAIs) able to deliver aerospace-based training to other cadets. These QAIs are well-rounded, ambitious young people who dedicate a great deal of time to the course as students and often returning to the course as instructors to develop the next round of QAIs. Many of our older alumni have started careers across a wide range of industries, including the armed forces, engineering and elsewhere. The course runs across two centres, RAF Linton-on-Ouse and MOD Boscombe Down and is staffed entirely by volunteer Air Cadet staff, who dedicate their time and commitment across the nine-month period of the course.
