Queen Maud University College of Early Childhood Education (QMUC)

QMUC was established in 1947 as a foundation built on Christian basic values. * We have currently about 1200 students, and 140 professional employees. * The college is located in Trondheim in Central Norway on a beautiful campus. * We have enthusiastic teachers and an innovative professional environment. * A lot of effort has been made to encourage men to start in Early Childhood Education and Care. The share of men has increased from 10 to 21% of the student population. Queen Maud University College has received The Gender Equality Prize for its successful work in recruiting men to the profession. * QMUC participates in the ERASMUS and NORDPLUS programmes. It is leading Network for Preschool Teacher Training and Preschool Development in Southern Africa, namely Zambia, Namibia, Swaziland, Botswana, Mozambique and Tanzania.
