Tennis in Queensland is set to be bigger, brighter and more spectacular than ever with the advent of the Queensland Tennis Centre. Set on the banks of the iconic Brisbane River at Tennyson, the $82 million state-of-the-art facility includes: Pat Rafter Arena a 5,500 seat international-standard centre court with 20 corporate suites A total of 23 International Tennis Federation standard courts including clay, grass and cushion acrylic (plexicushion) surfaces the first in Australia to be built with all three Grand Slam surfaces. A pro shop, cafe, changing rooms, meeting / function facilities and Administrative offices for Tennis Queensland. The new centre caters for everyone, from the four-year-old at kindergarten and their grandmother at midweek ladies, to the seasoned pros and those striving for Grand Slam glory.
