Quesos El Pastor - Hijos de Salvador S.A. was founded in 1967 by the brothers Lorenzo, Salvador and Domingo. It is currently under the management of Mr. Marco Rodriguez, second generation. Years before, the grandfather D. Salvador Rodriguez had already taken some steps in the cheese world. On May 19, 1998, on the outskirts of Santa Cristina de la Polvorosa and with an investment of more than 6 million euros, a new pressed cheese factory was inaugurated to meet the demand, both technological and production, of this highly competitive and strictly regularized market. Gradually, it has become, with a production of 11 million kg of cheese per year, one of the most important cheese factories in Spain, and the first in the production of Zamorano cheese.
