Foundation of R. Wadiwala Group was laid in the year 1943 by Shri. Bachoobhai Wadiwala, who happened to be the starter of equity trading in Surat. Same business was carried on by the third generation of the family in the name of R. Wadiwala & Co., a partnership firm operating as a sub-broker. R. Wadiwala Securities was promoted in the year 2004 by the partners of R. Wadiwala & Co. The Company acquired NSE - BSE membership and became depository participant with CDSL in the year 2005 and 2006 respectively. In March, 2011, the Company acquired SEBI registration for operating as Portfolio Managers (PMs). R. Wadiwala Group has also forayed into commodities broking by acquiring membership of Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited. (MCX) and National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX). R.
