2RG BV is a restart of Rademakers Gieterij in Klazienaveen, a well-established foundry which originated in Kralingseveer. It was there in 1909 that Mr. A. Rademakers founded the Metaalbedrijf Rademakers to which the foundry belonged. After 1948 the foundry relocated to a plant in Klazienaveen and was mechanised. In the almost 70 years since then, Rademakers has developed into a pioneering foundry. Rademakers was one of the first foundries to make use of a forming installation and introduced the famous cold box core shooting process in the Netherlands.
