RAFIKI

RAFIKI is a non-profit dedicated to improving the overall well-being of youth and children in Bagamoyo, Tanzania. The organization was founded in Norway in 2014 and established its affiliate organization in Tanzania in 2018. Recognizing the lack of competent supervised after-school activities, dropouts in schools, and youth engaging in risky behavior, we thrive to fill the gap by complementing and enhancing the regular school system with holistic after-school programs in a safe and free space. We provide creative-based, yet educational programs including, fine art, dance, music, and yoga that contribute to developing academic and personal growth to lead fulfilling lives. Ultimately, the personal growth will balance the individual in a way that gives them inner confidence, reverence, creativity, and dynamic thinking to become empowered changemakers.
