In South Africa 68% of rural women, and 54% of rural men aged 20 - 24 do not move forward from secondary school into tertiary education or work. Raise the Children International (RTC) empowers rural South African orphans through quality education to become thriving leaders poised to transform their communities and country. In 2024, 71 RTC Scholars attend 15 boarding high schools around South Africa. In 2025, RTCs expansion to support 100 Scholars a year will be nearly complete, with 94 Scholars at 18 schools.
