Raj Reddy Center for Technology and Society

Raj Reddy Center is an initiative of IIIT Hyderabad to enable research and emerging technology led solutions for grassroot education and public health issues, with specific emphasis on rural populations. The problems faced by people at the bottom of the societal pyramid are huge and require targeted solutions that are capable of being scaled to reach the billions of underprivileged. Over the years NGOs have contributed greatly towards the groundwork required to tackle these issues. However, their work has been limited to isolated pockets of the society and have faced great difficulty in scaling, due to lack in access to research and technological expertise. The Center aims to acts a bridge to connect NGOs to much needed technology and research expertise, helping them leverage emerging technologies such as ML/AI to amplify their impact.
