Randaberg is The Green Village. The municipality is located as Jrens northern tip, with Stavanger as its nearest neighbour. It also have border to Sola in the southwest (in the sea) and Kvitsy municipality in the northwest. Mayor: Jarle B (Sp). Deputy mayor: ystein Stjern (KrF). Municipal director: Anne Berit Berge Ims. The number of inhabitants per 31.12.2022 is 11,605. Dwellings are 4,487 (per 17.04.2020, the housing census). Area: 24 km2. 13,000 years old history The municipality has long been best known as an agricultural municipality. The climate is mild, and some of the first settlers in Norway settled here. In Vistehola, an important tourist attraction, traces of settlement have been found 6000 BC. Randabergs history stretches back 13,000 years.
