RED | Rocket Experiment Division

RED (Rocket Experiment Division) is a project within AeroTec (the aerospace engineering students association of Instituto Superior Tecnico), in Lisbon, Portugal, whose main objective is to design, build and launch rockets. We participate yearly at EuRoC (European Rocketry Challenge), the largest European university rocketry competition. In the last 2 years, weve achieved the title of vice champions! Our History: RED was founded in 2017 and we have had striking technical evolution in the last 6 years. - Our very first rocket was called Pilot. - We then built 3 editions of Aurora. - In 2021, these were followed by Blimunda: the 1st ever Portuguese rocket to be in an international competition, marking our debut in EuRoC. - In 2022, the Baltasar rocket was endowed with the Flight Award, following a brilliant 3006m apogee. - This year, Camoes was rewarded with the Payload Award!
