Reliance Cement Company Private Limited (Reliance Cement), a Reliance Group Company and 100% subsidiary of Reliance Infrastructure Limited , was incorporated in the year 2007. The Groups foray into cement is seen as a natural extension of its interests in power and infrastructure businesses that would give it a competitive advantage in the cement sector. Reliance Cement aspires to be amongst the top four cement companies in India in the next 4-5 years with presence across all regions. Reliance Cement is currently setting up its first two cement plants, one in Madhya Pradesh and the other in Maharashtra, with a combined installed capacity of 10 million tons. The Madhya Pradesh project will have an integrated unit at Maihar, a blending unit at Gondavali and a grinding unit at Raebareilly in Uttar Pradesh.
