Named for the mythical King Midas, whose touch turned everything to gold, REmida reveals that which is precious and valuable in the waste from local industry. REmida offers annual memberships to a diverse range of organisations, families and individuals. REmida members gain access to not only the materials, but to the dynamic network developing locally and internationally. REmida is a cultural centre for exchange and dialogue surrounding the issues of education and sustainability. REmida originates in the educational philosophies of Reggio Emilia, an area of Italy at the forefront of the educational revolution. REmida materials expand the repertoire of learning tools available, whilst encouraging creative problem-solving processes.
