Human trafficking is the 2nd largest Criminal Industry in the world with India widely considered to be a global hub. According to a recent report by the Global Slavery Index, over 8 million people in India are victims of human trafficking. Over a million women and children fall prey to commercial sexual exploitation. Many victims are from poor rural areas and lured by traffickers with promises of good jobs, only to find themselves or their children forced to work in fields or brick kilns, enslaved in homes as domestic workers, or sold to brothels. We were established in the year 2000 by the Late Mr. Balkrishna Acharya & his wife Mrs. Triveni Acharya. Mrs Triveni Acharya, took over the reins in 2005 when her husband passed away in a car accident. Since then Rescue Foundation has rescued over 5000 girls and rehabilitated many more.
