The Research Laboratory of Electronics (RLE) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) was the first of the Institutes great modern interdepartmental academic research centers. Our history begins with the Radiation Laboratory, commonly called the Rad Lab, a microwave and radar research lab most known for developing surface to air radar during WWII. Today, we are one of MITs largest organizations, and the most diverse research lab at MIT in our scope of intellectual interests
