Reserve Wines was born out of an intimidating visit to a local wine shop. Determined to create a friendly and inspiring community around wine and give customers a really good time, our founder Kate Goodman opened her first shop in leafy West Didsbury, Manchester 20 years ago in 2003. In the early days, Kate turned to YouTube to share her expertise and make learning about wine fun. She was scouted by the BBC, who invited her to be the Wine Expert for their Food and Drink Programme. Fast forward 20 years and the flagship Didsbury store has evolved with the times to a hybrid wine shop and bar, alongside expanding to new sites in and around Manchester including Bents Home & Garden Centre, and bars at Picturedrome, Mackie Mayor, Altrincham Market House. During lockdown the online shop expanded, we offer over 1000 wines and spirits with the ambition of becoming the nations favourite go-to indie wine shop.
