Restrain

The Restrain anti-sprouting system is an effective and affordable way to control sprouting for your potatoes. Restrain uses natural ethylene gas which keeps your potatoes dormant and prevents sprouting. Using ethylene gas means you wont leave any residue in your crop or storage facility, allowing you to deliver potatoes which can be used immediately for processing. Our story begins in 1999, when we set out to find a safe, effective way to prevent sprouting in potatoes. Our research lead us to conducting trials with ethylene which were so successful the Restrain company was born. Since this time the Restrain system has been used to treat more than one million tonnes of seed, table and processing potatoes in 38 countries worldwide.
