Retail Estates is a Belgian real estate company that invests mainly in retail properties located on the periphery of residential areas or along access roads to urban centres in Belgium and the Netherlands. The company has a portfolio with a value of over 2 billion euro. The most important long-term objective for Retail Estates is to assemble, manage and expand a portfolio of out-of-town retail real estate which ensures steady, long-term growth due to its location and the quality and diversification of its tenants. The projected growth results both from the value of the portfolio and the income generated from leasing. In the short term, this goal is pursued by continuously monitoring the occupancy rate of the portfolio, the rent collection as well as the maintenance and management costs.
