Rewiring Aotearoa

Rewiring Aotearoa is an independent non-partisan non-profit dedicated to driving rapid action to decarbonise Aotearoa New Zealand, while being a strong voice for Kiwis during the energy transition. Led by Mike Casey, the Rewiring Aotearoa team includes Kat Lintott (Ngai Tahu), a storyteller and stakeholder engagement expert; Josh Ellison, a research and development leader; and Mike Rewi (Ngai Tahu, Kati Mamoe, Ngati Kahungungu Ki Wairoa), a community and iwi engagement strategist with a focus on iwi led initiatives, affordability and energy resilience. The mission of Rewiring Aotearoa is to rapidly decarbonise Aotearoa New Zealand by electrifying millions of fossil fuel machines by 2030. The added benefits of this mission means lower energy bills and more resilient communities.
