Reyer Venezia

The Reyer Sports Society was founded in 1872 by the association formed between the two teachers of training gymnastics Pietro Gallo and Costantino Reyer. The first and main sporting disciplines practiced were fencing, weight lifting, athletics, rowing and boxing. In 1925 the basketball section was introduced which became the only sporting activity signed by Reyer. Over the course of its centuries-old history, it played its home games at the Scuola Grande della Misericordia, until 1977, at the Palasport Arsenale, until 1990 and, to this day, at the Palasport Taliercio in Mestre, whose capacity is 3509 seats.
