Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV or Rhine/Main Regional Transport Association) is one of the biggest transport associations in Germany. It coordinates and organises regional bus and rail transport services across an area of around 14,000 square kilometres. Thats around two-thirds of the area of the Federal State of Hesse. Since the association was set up in 1995, more and more people have chosen to travel by RMV. Today, RMV transports a total of 660 million passengers a year. It therefore carries around 2 million passengers a day and hence is a key contributor to the development of the Rhine/Main area as a pulsating metropolitan region.
