Richardson ISD Special and Gifted Education PTA

RISD SAGE PTA is the official districtwide SEPTA (Special Education PTA) for Richardson ISD. Chartered by Texas PTA in 2022, the RISD SAGE PTA is a nonprofit membership organization for the families, teachers, and community supporters of RISD students with diverse learning needs. Our areas of focus include Special Education and all disabilities, dyslexia and related disorders, gifted education, and social and emotional wellness, with emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our activities include parent education events for parents and guardians, teacher appreciation for SAGE departments, hosting a discussion group for current RISD families and employees, support and referrals for parents and guardians, and advocacy to support best practices in the education of students with SAGE needs.
