RSC is a recreation centre open to the public; an inclusive space for people of all ages, sports, abilities and demographics which is located on the banks of the Rideau River. RSC is situated on the land of the former Rideau Tennis Club which has been an Ottawa landmark since 1912. Its historic role in the recreational and social life of the National Capital is legendary. Notwithstanding the devastating Clubhouse fires of 1919 and 2001 and the great flood of 1981, the Club has always rebounded to serve the Capitals need for a beautiful sport and social centre.
