Rimus Trading Agency Ltd. was the pioneer company of the Rimus Group. Established in 1964 initially as a sole trader, eventually developed into a company to concentrate primarily on the importation, sale and distribution of foodstuffs, biscuits and other baked products, sugar confectionery, chocolates and roasted nuts, most of which were sold through food stores. Due to changes in Government policy in the late 1980s, with local markets being more liberalised, a strategy was adopted for RTA. to considerably expand its food importation business. This expansion has been complemented by a massively increased portfolio of food and other products, in order to meet escalating demand and changing tastes. The company imports on its own account, having its own frozen, chilled and ambient warehousing facilities.
